Its me, Sydney.

Hello! My name is Sydney Benveniste and I thought in this first blog post I could give you a little background information on who I am.

I attend Azusa Pacific University and swim for their swim team. I have been a year round swimmer for the past 15 years of my life. These years have not only taught me dedication and perseverance, but it has also taught me leadership skills and how to be a team player.

I was also president of an organization from my hometown in Redlands known as Kimberly Juniors. I held meetings using parliamentary procedure and spoke in front of audiences every week for a year of hundreds of people. A few skills they teach in this organization that I have mastered are

• Manners and Deportment

• Informed Citizenship

• Public speaking

• Parliamentary Procedure

This is just a little bit about the skills I have developed from my past.

But just in this past year attending Azusa Pacific University I have learned and mastered how to develop and write a news story in the class News writing and reporting. Also I have learned how to properly work with adobe products such as Premiere Pro, Audition, and After Effects through the course Digital News Gathering. Finally, I have mastered the art of public speaking and how to adequately speak in front of large groups of people through the course Public Communication.
