Have you ever heard of Quibi? Yeah me neither. Not until today at least. A little background information is that it was an American streaming platform that created Content that was to be viewed on mobile devices. This app was founded by Jeffery Katzenberg in 2018 and lead by Meg Whitman. Quibi’s whole story is meant to draw the viewers attention in by telling a story withouut the commitment of a long movie or long episodes of a show.https://quibi.com/our-story This interesting app Is not only having to compete with things such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon prime, it is having to compete with TikTok, Instagram and Twitter as well. This is because they are all things to do on your mobile device to kill time. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wsj.com/amp/articles/quibi-weighs-shutting-down-as-problems-mount-1This is the biggest reason to me why they never really sparked was due to the abundance of different types of social media and streaming services available. Unless it had some wow factor, it was bound to fail. Although doing more research on the app helped me to learn about it, their presence was no where and no one had heard about them, also adding to their reasoning behind the fail. RIP Quib.
