Sports and Social Injustice do NOT mix

In this day and age, when a brand isn't speaking up about social injustices, there is more fear than to speak up. Although I do think that certain companies using their platform to portray a message can be powerful, there should be a clear divide between politics and our entertainment. For a brand or large company to be taking over the role of what our news sources should be doing, it is creating a biased opinion in younger generations because most young adults are less politically engaged and chose to not take the time to generate their own research. Even if a brand is supporting a social injustice, I will support them, not to support their political view, but for my own personal desire.
